This Italian seasoning is the perfect staple for any pasta dish or anything you want to add an Italian flare to!
I always pull out this Italian seasoning whenever I make any pasta dish! I use it for lasagna, baked ziti, and even the basic spaghetti and meatballs dinner! This Italian seasoning combines all of the traditional herbs and spices one would normally find in any Italian recipe and any seasoning pack labeled “Italian” at the grocery store. I’m a big fan of dried herbs because 1) they last longer 2) add just as much flavor to a dish as fresh and 3) are typically cheaper than fresh herbs. There’s something special about having your own homemade seasonings that you spent the time creating.
I really enjoy using ingredients or extras that I’ve made myself because I know exactly what’s in them. When you take the time to research what’s really in prepackaged foods and what those additives and preservatives do to our bodies, you’ll want to make everything from scratch. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t currently have enough time on my hands to make everything in my kitchen from scratch, but I would LOVE to be able to do that. But I would probably still order snacks from Thrive Market because I freaking love snacks.
- 6 TBSP Parsley
- 6 TBSP Basil
- 5 TBSP Oregano
- 2 TBSP Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp Onion Powder
- 2 tsp Thyme
- 2 tsp Rosemary
- Add all of the amazing herbs and spices to a storage container and mix it up!
