Relaxation is a great way to practice self care!
I’m all about relaxation, self care, and anything that can help me accomplish both of these things in one go. I’m typically a high strung person as my anxiety likes to meander into my mind when I least expect it. So finding products that truly help me relax and find a sense of inner calm are always on my list of favorites. Today I wanted to share with you 5 must-have products that are going up your relaxation game and bring you some much needed inner peace.
Lush Secret Arts Jelly Bomb
Ya’ll! I first bought this in the humongous Lush store in London. First of all, the store was 3 stories all featuring something different and they even had a little Lush Spa too. It was beyond amazing and my tiny Lush store does not compare now. But still, Lush in general is amazing. So the sweet, sweet sales associate in London heard about my anxiety and recommended the Secret Arts Jelly Bomb to me. I love bath bombs so I was already down to try it. When you put it in your bath, the top layer of water turns to jelly. It’s a sensory experience that helps you calm down by being able to focus on the feeling of the jelly. It smells, feels, and leaves the body soft and luxurious. I could not recommend this more!
I’m the type of person who likes a good massage, whether it’s from myself, Briam, or a professional. So when Briam and a professional are unavailable during moments of stress or anxiety, I like to give myself a little hand massage with this luxurious hand cream. It’s thick, smooth, and smells divine. Eucalyptus anything gives me an instant sense of relaxation so this is just an added bonus. And who doesn’t love moisturized hands?
This is a relatively new scent to Yankee Candle, but it is amazing! The scent is in the name, really. I love turning a candle on, getting a hot cup of tea, and reading one of my newest books. A good scent can fill your home, nose, and mind with a sense of peace, calm, and happiness. Said to be “balanced with gentle jasmine, a whisper of patchouli, and warm amber musk” I could literally burn this candle all day and all night for the rest of my life. Obviously everyone has their own scent preferences, and maybe this isn’t for you, but find a scent that does for you what this one does for me!
This is another jelly-esque type texture that can help promote relaxation. I got this face mask as a tester size when I order a few things from Sephora in December and I have fallen in love with it. The fresh smell of roses, the jelly texture of the mask, the cooling sensation when you apply it to your skin, and ending with clear and bright skin. This mask is a must-have in my weekly skin care routine and a go-to when a need a little peace in my morning routine. I aslo love that it’s safe for sensitive skin, because so much can irritate mine – not relaxing when that happens – and this has been nothing short of amazing!
Headspace Meditation App
So this is sort of a product, sort of not because it’s free. I love using Headspace for guided mediations. I’m terrible at quieting my thoughts especially when my anxiety unleashes something wild. So using the Headspace app to center myself has been so great. They have meditation series for free or you can upgrade and unlock other series for different concentrations like stress, money, and success. You can also meditate for any amount of time, almost anywhere. This has been something that has really helped me when the chaos in my mind gets to be too much. I plan on doing a 365-day mediation challenge to drastically improve my ability to center myself.
